Peace Campaigner arrested at Parliament

Square Protest for Police Corruption

Bow Street Magistrates Court  9.30 -10.00 Tues 23 Aug.

Chris Coverdale, a peace campaigner and authority on war law, is to appear at Bow St Magistrates Court charged with an offence under the Serious Crime and Police Act. He was arrested in Parliament Square whilst protesting peacefully at Police Corruption and their failure to arrest and prosecute Tony and Ian Blair.

Chris claims that “Waging a war of aggression is the most serious crime known to law. By invading and occupying Iraq, Tony Blair and George Bush committed crimes against peace and humanity, the same crimes that Germany’s leaders were convicted of in 1946.    By ordering armed forces to attack villages, towns and cities in Iraq and killing 100,000 innocent Iraqis, Coalition leaders committed genocide the worst crime in English or international law.”

“The London bombings were a direct result of the Bush / Blair war with Iraq.   The Metropolitan Police response of employing a ‘shoot to kill’ policy is a serious crime of ‘conspiracy to murder’.   In the twentieth century I thought that massacres and executions such as these were the province of the Mafia or Chicago gangsters not the British Government or Police.   But now that we have a Prime Minister who violates war law and kills thousands because he believes it is right, and a Police Commissioner who conspires to murder suspects rather than arrest them, I know that we have reached the end of the road.   We no longer uphold the rule of law.”

“Whilst members of the British Government and the Police conspire to pervert the course of justice and commit the worst crimes known to mankind, I will continue to support Brian Haw’s protest against the genocide in Iraq, and I will use every non violent tactic in the book to stop Tony Blair, Ian Blair and 1000 others in their tracks and force them to answer for their crimes in court.”
